Holding on to Common-sense Minnesota Values
Senate District 49 covers the south of Minnetonka, all of Eden Prairie, and part of Chanhassen. We, the volunteers at Senate District 49 DFL, care deeply about our community and work to effect change that benefits all. We work to elect DFL leaders at all levels of government including our State Senator, State Representatives, City Council, School Board, and Hennepin County Commissioners.

We’ve pulled together a summary of what’s going on in electronic communications, especially computers and cell phones, and how to make your own calls and messages more secure.
Calling your representatives actually matters! Every morning reps are briefed on the top 2-3 issues that people call about. If you’re upset or concerned, pick up your phone, let your representatives know how an issue is affecting you, and ask for action and answers!
All people in the U.S., regardless of immigration status, have rights under the U.S. Constitution and other laws. Review the information at iAmerica.org to help you understand what your rights are and what to do in different situations if you are approached by police or ICE. They have resources that can help.

Updates from DFL49
Thoughts from our State Senator Steve Cwodzinski : “Many legislators are worn out and wearied. But know this: We will continue working tirelessly to do the people’s business and make Minnesota the best state in the nation to live, work, get an education and, of course, play.” Read the full story at EPLN.
Thoughts from our co-Chair, Kat Johnson. “The systems I use are working, so what’s the problem? Your tax dollars are under the control of a handful of boys, most of whom can’t even legally buy beer. Your personal accounts may be accessed for the whims of someone who isn’t accountable – you didn’t vote for Elon Musk.” Read more at EPLN.
