Candidate for Hennepin County Commissioner, District 6

Currently there is an open seat for the Hennepin County Commissioner of District 6. Because this seat is open due to a resignation, this seat will be filled during a special election on Tuesday May 14th.

  • Ensuring that the county runs smoothly and that county services are adequately provided,

  • Approving the annual budget and determining tax rates, and

  • Planning for future county development.

My family loves Minnesota and is deeply invested in seeing our county and state thrive. This campaign is about putting people first. Politics should always have people front and center.

Meet State Senator Kelly Morrison - DFL Endorsed Candidate for CD3

I’ve spent most of my career as a doctor – not a politician. I know what it’s like to see my patients struggle to afford the medications they need. I know how important it is that women – not politicians – are able to make their own health care decisions.

I believe that we need leaders who are focused on delivering results. I’ve worked with both Democrats and Republicans to pass over 80 bills in five years, more than almost every other legislator at the Minnesota capitol. I’m running for Congress because I want to take this common-sense, results-focused approach to Washington.
