I am seeking re-election to the Eden Prairie City Council on November 5th. Over the last 4 years, it has been my honor and privilege to serve the residents of our great community. I have learned so much and feel I have made a positive impact on the issues that effect our city.

Jody Ward-Rannow
My husband, Mike, and I have an incoming 6th grade daughter attending CMS and a third grade son at Eagle Heights. I have been on the Eagle Heights PTO since my daughter was in Kindergarten and I have served as a President of the PTO for the last few years. In my role on the PTO I also serve on the PTO President’s Council, so I have the honor to partner with the PTO leadership from all of the schools across the district. Last year I was the Chair of the Spring Fling committee for the Class of 2029. I am incredibly proud of the work our dedicated committee members and the hundreds of volunteers at Spring Fling did to revive that tradition on very short notice. I am also involved in EP Girl Scouts.
I believe our district has amazing resources and programs for our students, but sometimes all of those options can be difficult for families to navigate. It can be hard to take advantage of all that our district has to offer and to figure out how to gain access to resources before it’s too late for your child. I think it is important to have parent voices on the School Board who can help shed light on where our district could improve it’s usability for each student and family. I am asking for your vote so that I can be one of those parent voices.

Jon Cermak
I am excited for the opportunity to run for Eden Prairie School Board and serve this great community I have had the pleasure to live in for over 20 years. My wife, Nicki, and I have two amazing boys, both of whom have gone through the Eden Prairie public school system starting with early childhood education to Prairie View, CMS, and Eden Prairie High School. I have also enjoyed serving the Eden Prairie community for many years as a volunteer head coach for both my children in basketball and baseball.
In the corporate world, I have worked in senior roles for large local companies such as Target and Buffalo Wild Wings where I have led large teams within the Human Resources space. This experience has allowed me to fine-tune my people, communication, and finance skills which will be needed for success on the school board.
Over the last 15 years I have seen a lot related to policy, student achievement, goals, performance, and safety. If elected I will partner with the other board members and the administration to continue to advance the great framework that currently exists while also maintaining good fiscal responsibility. To me it’s about the kids – always with a focus on the experience and opportunity to develop their skills and talents. I will work to provide opportunities for each student – because all students are not created equal.

It doesn’t matter if you’re from Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Richfield or Minneapolis: you have a friend on the Hennepin County Board. I’m always looking for new ways to bring ideas from our communities to life. We have a unique strength together as a vibrant, diverse community. I’m honored to be the one you have turned to as we solve complex issues regarding housing, opportunity gaps, and building the roads and infrastructure we need for a rapidly changing economy.
-
Heather Edelson - District 6
My family loves Minnesota and is deeply invested in seeing our county and state thrive. This campaign is about putting people first. Politics should always have people front and center.
I have represented Edina in the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2019 and I am excited to bring my values of listening and finding shared solutions to Hennepin County as the next County Commissioner for District 6.
Candidates for U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate

Kelly Morrison
I’ve spent most of my career as a doctor – not a politician. I know what it’s like to see my patients struggle to afford the medications they need. I know how important it is that women – not politicians – are able to make their own health care decisions.
I believe that we need leaders who are focused on delivering results. I’ve worked with both Democrats and Republicans to pass over 80 bills in five years, more than almost every other legislator at the Minnesota capitol. I’m running for Congress because I want to take this common-sense, results-focused approach to Washington.
